Today’s job market for financial managers and executives is not particularly good. Candidates should be cautious about making a move unless they absolutely have to, or a rare good opportunity presents itself. It is a good time to reconnect with your advisors and headhunters who provide good counsel to do career planning in preparation for the choices that will appear in a better market. Avoid “close the deal” recruiters aggressively selling inferior opportunities.
